While at the BlogPaws conference in Myrtle Beach, I met with some people from Natural Balance® to discuss their food and programs. My dogs already eat Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet, and they are healthy and happy.
Because I have been feeding Natural Balance to my dogs for quite a while, I didn’t know if I would learn very much. However, I was delighted to discover that Natural Balance partners with Guide Dogs For the Blind.
Guide Dogs for the Blind has two campuses, one in San Rafael, California and the other in Boring, Oregon. Since 1942, over 14,000 guide dog-human teams have graduated. There are currently about 2100 GDB teams working together right now.
I was happy to learn that Guide Dogs for the Blind offers all of its services for the visually impaired free of charge. GBD is not funded by the government. Instead, its operation depends on donations, an impressive league of volunteers, and partnerships like the one with Natural Balance.
Volunteer opportunities at Guide Dogs for the Blind include raising puppies, fostering dogs, as well as and volunteering on their campuses in various capacities.
It seems to me that the L.I.D. High Protein Formulas would be perfect for an active dog like a guide dog.
Follow Guide Dogs for the Blind on Instagram to see more of these amazing dogs and their partners. You can also follow them on Facebook.
All Natural Balance food is nutritionally balanced and made with high-quality ingredients. If you are wondering what food will be best for your dog, you can chat with an expert online. Natural Balance L.I.D. High Protein Formulas are 32% protein. The number one ingredient is meat. Each of the high protein formulas contains just a single source of protein and is grain free. Natural Balance L.I.D high protein doesn’t use chicken, potatoes, artificial coloring or flavors.
Additionally, each batch of food undergoes a series of nine safety tests before being packaged for sale. You can find the results of the test online.
Natural Balance wants you and your pet to be happy with their products, so they have a Buy With Confidence promise. If the formula you choose isn’t right for your pet, they will refund your money when you return the unused portion.

I love companies like Natural Balance partner with a charitable organization like this. What a wonderful thing that NB is doing for GDB! Thanks for sharing about it. I had no idea about this partnership – truly special indeed!
This is wonderful. I had no idea Natural Balance also partnered with Guide Dogs for the Blind. What a wonderful cause AND even better to know those in need can use the service free of charge. Just one more added bonuse to buying Natural Balance.
What a great group to partner with! I had no idea. Very very neat indeed. Such important work.
That’s amazing! 14,00 guide dog/human teams is a lot! That’s so awesome that they help out with Guide Dogs for the Blind! I had no idea 🙂
I’m so impressed at all the great support Natural Balance provides to Guide Dogs For The Blind! I love companies that give back to help pets and their people!
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
I think it’s wonderful how many of the pet food companies are reaching out and helping with dog and cat issues. Truffle and Brulee do like some of the Natural Balance wet food.
More than 14,000 teams – that is phenomenal! And to offer their services for free is just so wonderful.GDB sounds like an amazing organization, and it’s so great that Natural Balance is partnering with them. My Huskies love their treats! Thank you for sharing the info about GDB and the Natural Balance review!
I LOVE how they are helping with dog issues and am so impressed bu their support! Thanks for sharing.
The GDB campus is very close to us actually. They do public tours and I want to go sometime. You can watch graduations too!
If you take the tour, let me know how it is!
Guide Dogs for the Blind sounds like a wonderful organization and I think it’s fantastic that the dogs are free for those who need them. 14,000+ dogs – that’s amazing! It’s wonderful that Natural Balance partners with them, too! Both the canine and feline species in our house eat Natural Balance as part of their diets.
I was so happy to learn about their partnership! I love supporting companies who give back. (Plus my pets love their food.)
I am honestly a big fan of Natural Balance! One of my pups is fairly allergy ridden, and she does very well (after a LOT of trial and error) on most of the LID line!
My dogs do really well with it too, even my allergy ridden Maltese.
I think that limited ingredient formulas can be life-saving. Cookie is on raw, though, so I no longer keep tract of kibble products.
I am a big fan of Natural Balance and I love that they partner with Guide Dogs for the Blind! I am in awe of people who volunteer, foster and train guide dogs!
I will only use a limited ingredient diet on my rescue dogs. They have sensitive stomachs, and thrive on high protein.
I love that big companies support such great causes. Guide dogs play such an important role in independence. As a past service dog trainer, I know how expensive training a dog can be.
I love companies that give back as I think it is so important and that is why when I got the job with the dog food company and read that they gave back it even made me happier. I am all for it
It really is nice to know that you’re supporting a company who cares, isn’t it?
I keep hoping they’ll come out with a novel protein version of this! Even though my dogs are raw fed, my nephew-dog eats Natural Balance LID Kibble. He’s crazy active and a higher protein options would be great!
All the pictures in this post are wonderful, but my absolute favorite is the one of Missy. I have a special fondness for senior dogs, and seeing her big doggy smile made me so very happy! Thank you!
