Happy Spring! While I know that some people LOVE spring cleaning, I’m not one of them. But I do appreciate a clean house, so I am sharing some tips and products to make living with dogs less messy.
throw * PetHair Robotic bObsweep vacuum * trinket tray (similar) * chair cover * apron * rope toy * storage bin * wellies * doormat * dog booties
Stop Dirt At The Door
Wipe those paws and feet. A coir mat is mildew resistant and can easily be vacuumed.
Wear boots outside and leave them at the door. Dog booties not only stop muddy paw prints but can help if your dog suffers from seasonal allergies. They are also great for protecting paws from salt.
Control Pet Hair
Brush and/or groom your dog regularly to prevent excessive shedding (or at least collect it in the brush.) A Furminator is great for pets with long hair.
Use a pretty throw or upholstery cover to protect furniture. When choosing a throw, look for one that is tightly woven to minimize the chance of being snagged.
Although it isn’t particularly difficult to run a vacuum cleaner, I don’t know many people who enjoy it. I know a lot of pet lovers who love their bObsweep, and it seems like most pets do too.
Clear the Clutter
An apron with a big pocket gives you a temporary place to stash the dog toys that you find all over the house.
Give your dog’s toys a home, you’ll be happier if you choose something you love. Make your life even easier by teaching your dog to put away his own toys.
A cute trinket tray is a fun way to keep track of small items and show your personality.
Freshen Up Your Decor
Adding greenery or a bouquet of flowers is an easy way to brighten up a room. Just be sure that the plants aren’t toxic to dogs (or cats.)
Add fun throw pillows or pet portraits.
Show your pet pride with an outdoor flag.

Do you have any tips for spring cleaning with pets?

I’m always looking for spring cleaning tips, especially as a dog owner! I’ve always thought it would be fun to teach my dog how to put away her toys, but she doesn’t actually play with toys! I love buying them, so I have a box of toys and most of them are in perfect condition.

What great tips and products! I do not love spring cleaning, but I am determined to try to do it this year! I hate vacuuming too. We have a robotic one but it doesn’t work the greatest…I’d like to try a newer model.
Funny you mentioned the flowers, I just got a bouquet this week! Spring is slow to arrive here and I really needed the cheering up.
I’m so glad you were able to use our post…thank you! It also reminds me that I don’t make Luke pick up his toys often enough, I need to keep him in practice! 🙂

The robotic one I have isn’t very good, but it seems like everyone loves their bObsweep.
