Happy Monday! We are starting the new year by sharing this lovely engagement session with Raeley that was photographed by Melissa Mullins from Denver Paws Photography.
From Melissa: “I know how important pets are. I specialize in portraits for happy Colorado pets and their people. Raeley is a 3.5 years female short haired Border Collie mix rescued from Paws and Claws in Artesia, New Mexico.”
From Lindsay: “Raeley is a short haired Border collie mix who is about three years old. Paws and Claws Rescue found her as a stray roaming around the outskirts of Artesia, New Mexico; we adopted her two days after she was found. They named her Angel which was ironic since we were in Artesia for the funeral of Jeremy’s grandma. We now joke that Raeley is a gift from his grandma!
We included her in our engagement pictures because she is much more than a dog to us. Before we had her we were a just a couple but with her, we are a family. She comes to work with me, runs alongside Jeremy when he goes for a bike ride, goes on road trips with us and plays with our nieces and nephews—she even tries to herd our nephews from time to time! She can be licking my 7 month old nephew’s face one minute then turn into a guard dog the next. She can catch flies with her mouth, run circles around most dogs, and tries to bite water when she’s splashing in rivers. She can be aggressive when she needs to be then cuddles the rest of the time. I never wanted a dog that sheds, and yet she sheds like crazy.
