One of the best things about winter is watching dogs play in the snow. So I was thrilled to get this snowy puppy session from Madison Robertson Photography.
From Madison: “When Megan and Ryan asked me to take some pictures of them with their new puppy, I couldn’t be more excited! Megan and Ryan adopted this adorable pup in September from the Furever Family Dog Rescue, Training & Rehabilitation. Their love for their new pup and each other was easily seen throughout our session together. On the first big snowfall of the year, it was cold and wet, but no one cared because we were having so much fun in the snow. I can’t wait to see this little family of three grow together!”
From Meg and Ryan: “After months of contemplating the idea of getting a puppy, we stumbled upon a picture of Toby and knew right away that Toby would bring so much happiness to our home. Toby was rescued from a reserve in Manitoba when he was roughly eight weeks old. Less than a week later, he arrived at our home, and our hearts have been so full ever since.
There is nothing better than coming home to Toby who is so excited to see us, play with us, snuggle us, and douse us in slobbery puppy kisses. We cannot wait to share many more adventures with our little Toby!”

I imagine it was a lot of fun to watch a puppy in the snow. We rarely have snow here and I let the girls check it out when they were kittens. They were more curious than anything. I wish I felt comfortable letting them out to explore, but they are safer inside.

How awesome! I love that these people got professional portraits with their adorable pup, and I also love that they did it in the snow. The majority of people don’t want to deal with winter sessions but they can be so magical!

Toby is too cute! I wish we had some snow here. Lately it’s been cold enough for it, but no snow yet. I love taking snow photos of my boys, and my youngest especially loves playing in the snow.

OMG – If you haven’t seen A Dog’s Way Home yet, run and go see it. Your dog resembles the dog in the movie. We saw it last night and will see it again…it was that good.

I haven’t seen it yet, but hopefully, Toby’s family will see it soon. I noticed the resemblance between Toby and Bella. I hope to see the movie too!

I will definitely have to recommend to Megan and Ryan to go see this movie, thanks for the suggestion 🙂 I haven’t seen it yet either, but heard great things! Thank you both for your kind comments!

Aww I love these pictures! Toby is such a cute puppy, I love the wrinkles on his forehead. My son has been asking to get a puppy for a while now. When we do finally give in and get him one we most definitely will be rescuing a puppy from the pound. There are so many puppies that need homes.
