Recently someone asked me which I preferred studio or on location pet photography. I started to reply that it depends on the photographer, that some are stronger in one area than another. Then I thought of Emilee Fuss and said: “And some are amazing at both.” I was thrilled when Emilee sent me these gorgeous photos of Talia, a four-month-old Whippet.
From Emilee: “I got to photograph one of the cutest, silliest, and most well-behaved puppies that I’ve ever met! Talia is a leggy, muscular four-month-old Whippet puppy who loves to run, play, and show off her wonky ear styles.
She can also add expert model to her list of talents! I still can’t believe how easy she was to photograph.
I think she may have watched some of those top model shows before her session! Talia showed off her serious stare, her insane ears, and her energetic leaps. The Greyhound and Whippet breeds are so much fun to photograph–their build is perfect for artsy abstract images and their profile is so elegant. Talia certainly did not disappoint! I can’t wait to photograph her again when she’s all grown up, although I will certainly miss those crazy puppy ears. They are so entertaining!”
