Puppy Love: Samara the Cattle Dog Mix

I love to start the week off with a smile and this little cutie sure makes me smile. Pet photographer Jess Nelson from Chocolate Moose Images went on a camping trip with this sweetie-pie and sent these adorable puppy portraits my way.

From Jess:  “Samara is a Cattle dog mix. She is was 13 weeks old in these photos and is absolutely AMAZING!!

She got the name Samara because her dad has always loved that name and also has a passion for trees.  Her name has many meanings, one of which is the seed of an elm or maple tree.   She was born in Browning, MT and spent a few weeks in Gardner, MT before hitting the road with her dad.

She spent four weeks traveling from Gardner, MT to Glacier National Park, then over to Seattle and down the coast to Santa Cruz, CA.   Samara is a well traveled pup!   She has slept on the beach, under redwood trees and gone swimming in a glacial lake.

Samara is one of the smartest little dogs I’ve ever met, as well!   She even taught her dad how to play fetch by dropping the ball in front of him, rolling it down a hill and bringing it back up for him to give it a try.   I can’t wait to see how she grows but for now, I’m in love with her puppy photos.”

Lucky Samara will get to spend some time with these two handsome dogs.
