I know that every breed of dogs has fans, but some breeds are just more popular than others. One look at cutie pie Finnegan, it is easy to see why Dachshund lovers are probably one of the most loyal groups of fans. Pittsburgh pet photographer, Charlene Potts, took these adorable Doxie puppy photos. Believe it or not, the photos just keep getting cuter!
From Charlene: “I was so excited to photograph Judy’s new addition, Finnegan! Sadly, she lost her last Dachshund this winter tragically, but Finn is the perfect boy to help her heart heal.
He was a total snuggle bug during the session; all he wanted to do was be held or have his belly rubbed.
Talk about heart melting!”
I want to cuddle him; I’m not sure how Charlene was able to resist. Professional photographers must develop superhuman self-restraint!
I THINK Finn is standing, but I’m not quite sure. Whatever he’s doing, he is adorable while doing it.
If you are inspired to get a Dachshund puppy, I don’t blame you. However, please look for a reputable breed or a rescue group. I did a quick search on Petfinder.com and found several Dachshund puppies including Sweetpea, Sausage, and Cappucino Chocolate Lily.

Pet photography is so much harder than people realize. Try taking photos of a two year old that does not speak your language! These are gorgeous!

This puppy and these photographs are soooo adorable! I love all of them, but there is something so sweet and amazing about the “laying flat on his back” photo that just made me swoon. It really evokes the puppy submission and invitation for belly rubs! Of course, the paws on that little face just make a girl want to squeal. Great job Charlene!

OMG…he couldn’t possibly be any cuter, could he? It definitely would make me want to go out and get a dachshund puppy if we were looking to add to our family!
