In the six years that I’ve been blogging, I have noticed that more weddings are pet-friendly. So I wasn’t exactly surprised to see pet friendly wedding is listed as a top 2018 wedding trend. I feel confident that this trend will continue in the future. Thanks to Shelby Chante’ Photography for sharing this dog-friendly wedding with Ryah, the mixed breed, and Roman, the German Shepherd. As if the dogs weren’t enough in themselves, wait until you see the cake topper!
From Mindy: “Nate and I had moved in together after college, and we started talking about getting a dog. Right before we went and adopted Ryah, I said to Nate ‘are you sure you want to get a dog? This is like a 14-year commitment to me’ he said yes!
Ryah is three and a half. She is a Pitbull, Lab, and Lhasa Apso mix. She is pretty shy. We got Ryah from the local Humane Society in Springfield. After we got her, we decided it may help her to have a friend, so we adopted Roman a few months later.
Roman is three. He is a German Shepherd. Ryah really started coming out of her shell and trusting us after we got Rome.
Those dogs are a part of our little family. They both love swimming and cuddling. Rome is my little sidekick and follows me everywhere. Ryah is a little more independent but still loves attention.
We try and take them everywhere. Last summer we traveled to Colorado with them, and we have many more adventures planned. Having them in the wedding was extremely special to us!”

Oh my! These wedding photos are STUNNING! Wedding photos are my favorite, but adding in the pets is what gets me! I just love them! The cake topper is the perfection addition, too.
I love German Shepperds the face and the personality they have. I saw this on twitter and truly fell in love with the pictures. If I was to marry again I would inlcude my Bella for sure.

Aww I love this! I usually see dogs dressed up for the occasion but I honestly like this natural “come as you are” in your fur with the dogs. That wedding cake topper is everything! Congrats to the happy couple. I love that pets involved in weddings is a top trend!! Awesome.
I love this story and the photographs are just amazing. The cup cakes and cake with the topper is just brilliant – love it. I think it is so important for dogs to be part of the wedding as they are family
Stunning photos of a beautiful day! Roman and Ryah are beautiful – and of course their hu-parents, the bride and groom. And that cupcake topper…is just the tops!
