When I saw this first photo, I knew I’d be featuring Nan, a little Bichon Frise. It is hard to believe that this little cutie is 15 years old. She is spending her golden years living in a stylish contemporary apartment with her best friend, Abbi. Abbi’s other best friend, Dan, arranged for Charlene from Paw Prints | Pet Portraits by Charlene to photograph the three of them.
From Abbi: “Nan is a Bichon Frise. Although you’d never know it because she’s still so much like a puppy in many ways, Nan turned 15 years old in February. My family adopted Nan as a puppy, so we’ve been together a long time. She came to live with me after I finished school almost 3 and a half years ago.
These days, Nan enjoys napping in the sun and snuggling. Her daily walks around our neighborhood are one of her favorite things.
She’ll also sometimes play with a squeaky toy with so much energy you’d think she was much younger than she is. I look forward to seeing her silly little smile every day when I get home from work.
She’s getting used to Dan – Nan is fairly possessive of me so even though it’s been a year and a half she’s still adjusting to sharing.
She’s my best friend and I’m so grateful that she’s been a part of my life for so long.”
This last photo of feet and paws print definitely has a place in my imaginary museum of dog art. It is such a great photo!
