I’m super happy to share these photos taken by my sister, Alice G Patterson, of our good friends Carolynn, Clara and Maromi. Carolynn is the creator of the amazing Two Brunettes Custom portraits.
From Alice: “While photographing Carolynn’s family over the past few years, I’ve had several delightful occasions to photograph Ro. Thinking back I know that one word always comes out of my mouth when I’m playing, I mean working, with Ro… MUPPET! This little cutie embodies everything magical that I loved about Jim Henson’s characters. She looks like she came right out of his workshop with her adorable looks, but she also has a personality that matches with equal parts sweet and funny. While many dogs are camera shy, this little love bug seems quite at home in the spotlight. Ro’s charm factor is so high, I often contemplate how I can sneak her home with me. A girl can dream.”
From Carolynn: “Maromi Lucy Ponya Lemke aka Ro is a 5 year old Shih-tzu. Sometimes we call her Mashaboom because when she hasn’t had a haircut for a while her head looks like an exploded mushroom. She is the most loving, sweet little dog, with a little bit of an attitude since her little sister was brought into her life. She loves long walks, her pink stuffed dog, squirrels, and birdies. She hates the car but loves going to her grandmas house.
She adores Clara, protects her from the tickle monster but also tells on her when shes being bad. Its pretty hilarious actually.
Maromi is my inspiration for my custom pet portraits. She was a gift to me from my husband when I was laid off from my job, and we have been inseparable ever since. While I am working Ro lays right by my feet to keep me company.
We are best friends!”
