I know that many families are great about getting family photos once they have kids, but I’m excited to see a newer trend, anniversary photo sessions. Naturally, anniversary sessions should include the dogs, especially when they are as well behaved and adorable as Marlee, the Maltese. Raleigh photographer Amber of Images by Amber Robinson was happy to have Marlee involved.
From Amber: “Kasie and Travis have been in love for as long as they can remember, so when they reached out to schedule an anniversary session and asked if it was ok to bring their Maltese puppy Marlee along, of course, I said ‘yes!’ They showed up, and it was hard not to let their sweet baby steal the show.
From Kasie: “There is nothing that I love more than getting home and seeing my Marlee boy greeting me with his whimpers of ‘where have you been today, mommy?’
No matter what kind of day either of us has, Marlee is always there waiting for our return home, at the door, and ready to give us sweet kisses. The funny part is, he gets so jealous when we kiss or show any kind of affection to each other that doesn’t include him.
Marlee is definitely an only child, so when the attention is not 100% on him, he is quick to let us know there is a problem by jumping and whimpering as if he were saying, ‘don’t forget about me!’
His happiest place is right in between us, that where we all happiest, all three of us together as a family. Our motto, family is family, no matter how many legs you have!”

Marlee is one adorable puppy, and I love how happy the humans look being in her presence! I think it’s wonderful to include such an important family member in all life’s memorable moments.

Marlee is so cute! He looks a lot like my girl Phoebe, we think she’s a Havanese/Maltese mix. She gets really jealous too, LOL!

Marlee is such a cute dog and you take wonderful photos. I mean really, really good.
Marlee is absolutely adorable. I have a feeling he knew just how to pose for these pictures without having to be prompted in any way…lol.
This gives me an idea. My parents will celebrate their 64th anniversary in September. Bandit, my mom’s dog, is the first dog she’s ever had and both of my parents are close to him. He is getting older. Maybe a professional photo session with Bandit and my parents would be a wonderful present.
