It doesn’t take long for a dog to own your heart. And once that happens, the dog will be in your heart forever. Maddie, the English Bulldog, is currently facing a devastating diagnosis, so her family arranged for a photo session with their favorite photographers, Shannon and Christina from P.I.C. Photo.
From Shannon and Christina: “We LOVE dogs! Meet the sweetest English Bulldog, Maddie. We have been photographing her family for the last 3.5 years, ever since her human mom was pregnant with her sister.
Maddie came to the maternity shoot and every family shoot after that. Maddie is a huge part of the family and has been so much fun to play and work with. Recently, her family received the horrible news that Maddie has a terminal illness. Of course, this is devastating to the family, and now they are just trying to enjoy the time they have left with their sweet girl!
They contacted us to do one last photo shoot of Maddie and her sister Emily.
These are the photos that transpired. Maddie looks happy, and you wouldn’t be able to tell she is sick in the pictures. We wish her well and hope these photos give her family comfort when her time comes to cross the rainbow bridge. “
I hope that Maddie will continue to surprise her vets and live a long, happy life.

OMG, that last photo killed me. So sad. You can really feel their bond in these photos. I hope she has many more wonderful days with her family
Pictures tell the story. Thankfully, our pets live in the moment and these moments are all happy for this family…great memories.
Be-au-ti-ful! I would never have guessed that the doggie Maddie has illness. She looks so happy to be with her little human pal. I cross my paws that all the love from her family will bring magical healing.
Ohh if you didn’t say that this was their last photo shoot with her I wouldn’t be so sad right now! I hope these two girls are able to spend a little more time together!
Oh I’m so sorry to hear about Maggie being terminally ill. If I never read your post, I’d never know by looking at all the happy loving pictures. I’m sure if there is any way to choose to spend your last moments, it would be like this. Hope Maggie defies the odds and has many more days ahead. Love all the photos…you can feel the love shared.

With Cookie it took all but 24 hours. The first 24 hours I just liked her. And then she started limping and I was a gonner.
I am so sorry! Maddie is beautiful and i really hope she gets well and lives a looong life!
This is so heartbreaking! I’m so sorry Emily won’t grow up with Maddie. Perhaps Maddie can pull off a miracle and stay with them longer, because she must know Emily needs her.
