I love living in Central New York. The winters can be too long, but the only complaint about summer in Central New York is it doesn’t last long enough. One of the best places to spend a CNY summer day is on a lake, especially if you’re a water loving Labrador Retriever. I love these photos by Kelcey Foster from Silent Moment Photography that show a perfect summer day. Lucy, a black Lab, and her best friend, share a special bond and enjoy their time on and in the lake.
From Billy: “Lucy is a black Labrador Retriever. She will be 8 years old this October. She has a large extended human family that treats her better then most other family members.
She is afraid of cats but pretends she’s not. She very polite. Never in a bad mood. She likes to get up early on the weekends and sleep in on Mondays.
She loves to swim and fish.
She will spend hours wading in the water trying to pounce on a fish.
She loves the snow as much as the water. Her favorite toy is a laser pointer. She jumped up and knocked down a golf ball from a trophy that held the ball from my father’s only hole-in-one and chewed it. She has a busy social calendar and never has passed up a meal. At a family reunion she photo bombed almost every picture. She was not a rescue dog but was rescued from a family whose dog had puppies and no one wanted the female puppies.
Overall she is a great dog who is loved by many people and who loves life.”
