Dogs are my first love, but I also have a serious weakness for plants. So I get super excited whenever a dog photo session also has interesting plants. Tracie Edwards Photography and her clients, Molly, Christopher, and Koda, the Newfoundland, had a gorgeous holiday session at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. However, it is perfect for any time of the year.
From Tracie: “Molly and Christopher recently moved to Phoenix from North Carolina! Being their first holiday in the desert, they decided to show off their new home by doing a holiday session with me at the Desert Botanical Gardens. It seems to me their pup Koda, a beautiful Newfie, is pretty happy to be living the desert life with his parents!”
From Molly: “Koda is a 2-year-old Newfoundland who just moved from North Carolina to Arizona. He has such a silly personality and loves anyone and any dog. His favorite thing to do is to visit new places and meet new friends! He can be quite the handful at times but is the sweetest when sleepy, so we make sure to get lots of walks and fetch time in.
Chase is his favorite game and daycare is his favorite place to go! He will do almost anything for a good treat, including sitting pretty for pictures. Koda is so smart but also so stubborn! He will look you straight in the face and ignore you unless there’s something in it for him (will do anything for a bully stick). He can also be a big baby and such a scaredy cat with loud noises or new objects. Koda has many nicknames (Koda Bear, Buggy, Bubby, Sugar Butt, Mr. Sweetums, Buggernut Squash, the list goes on) and has the most smooshable face! We love him so much!”
Before heading to the Desert Botanical Garden with your dog, please keep in mind that dogs are only welcome sporadically.
