Beagles are awesome. I admit I may be biased since our first dog was a Beagle, but they just make me laugh and feel happy. From their special barks to their wagging tails and nose-to-the-ground walks, I think they are perfect in every way. (Well,besides the shedding…) I’m in love with these lifestyle family photos of Jersey and her parents by Robyn Icks Photography.
From Robyn: Traci and Bryan and their sweet puppy Jersey are so much fun! Their session consisted of a lovely evening, walking, talking, playing in leaves and exploring the gorgeous nature around Hafer Park in Edmond. This park is a most lovely location for a portrait session, no matter what time of year it is. Luckily, Traci and Bryan contacted me for a Hafer Park marriage session at the end of November, when there were masses of lovely fall foliage and leaves covering the ground.
Makes me want to just throw caution to the wind, choose fun over a good hair day, and play in and throw leaves at my friends. And near the end of the session, that’s just what the two of them did! I definitely can’t say no to that!”
From Traci: “I am so happy to talk about my baby, Jersey. She is 10 years old but still my baby. She is a Beagle and my husband has had her since a puppy. She has been in his life for 10 years and in mine for 4. She is the sweetest and most spoiled dog.
I can’t lie, she likes to be left alone especially if other dogs are around. She can be a snob. She has never been too social, she would rather lay in her bed and sleep than play with toys or other dogs. She does get so excited when we come home or if someone comes over.
She has her five minutes of excitement then it’s back to sleep she goes. She loves Greenies and food, oh and especially her bones that she has hidden all over the house. Besides sleeping, her favorite part of the day is when she gets her food and her treats.
It’s obvious in this house that she loves her daddy more than anything and will choose him over me any day.
I love lazy days because she will snuggle with us all day. Jersey is overall a happy dog who loves to be lazy and spend time with her mom and dad.

I’ve always wanted a Beagle. My friend had one growing up and he was one of the sweetest, most even tempered dogs I’ve ever known. Jersey looks amazing for 10; you can tell she has a great, loving family. She’s beautiful.
