When a photographer refers to her dog in the subject as “Daisy Doofus,” I expect some pretty funny photos. Carly from Art by Carly didn’t disappoint with this collection of a day in the life photos of her hilarious German Shorthaired Pointer, Daisy.
From Carly: “Daisy Doofus: she’s wild, she’s a little crazy, but mostly she’s lovable, even when she’s naughty.
My husband was living in Colorado for work while I was living in South Dakota. It was a long distance marriage for our first year as a newlywed. To top it off, we were also expecting our first daughter, Elsie. Tom, my husband, decided to surprise me with Daisy. She was the best surprise I could have asked for. A great companion for me while my husband was away, a great workout buddy to get me out of the house and walk and a great cuddle buddy with my growing belly.
Daisy is a nervous nelly, a high-strung dog who likes to get her nose in everything.
We sometimes get frustrated with her, but she’s still a little young and has a lot of learning to do yet. I love seeing how she acts with Elsie, our daughter. She doesn’t mind it when Elsie shares her dog bed. I’m so excited to see these two grow to be the best of friends.
Daisy is so full of love. She’s a wonderful addition to our family, and I’m so happy with the memories we’ve been able to share, and I’m looking forward to many more with this sweet pup.”

Oh I love Daisy! GSP dogs are usually so driven to sniff out and hunt, and she’s a sweetheart. The pictures are hilarious, and looks like this family struck gold and is having a blast with Daisy.
Daisy Doofus ! I love that name LOL and she is just adorable, those dopey eyes just made me smile and I love that their kid is growing up with a dog, best way to teach a child how to appreciate animals and respect them.
Oh my goodness those are some of the best pictures I’ve seen, they really capture Daisy’s spirit and personality don’t they! I think Elsie is a lucky girl to be growing up with such a character, I bet she makes her smile every day.
What a sweet pup Daisy is! It’s great that she’s good with the baby and that they’ll be growing up together, I had that as a kid and it’s amazing. These photos are so great, really fun.
