Virginia lifestyle and pet photographer Gayle Driver sent me this session of the newest member of her extended family. Newly adopted, Clyde is one of the sweetest and happiest looking guys ever.
From Gayle: “My sister, Lisa, has adopted another pup! She went to the shelter to look at adopting another Neopolitan Mastiff and came home with Clyde, an adorable 1 year old Pitt Bull! Clyde is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. Always happy and wants to play all the time. I went to visit my sister and couldn’t resist taking some photos of this adorable and extremely friendly dog. I believe my sister’s family is complete with her large adopted Neopolitan Mastiff named Mina and her new adopted Pit Bull, named Clyde.”
From Lisa: “My sister really loves my dogs! Mina needed a friend and best friends they definitely are! Clyde is my first Pit Bull and what a little love bug he is! I have fallen in love with the breed. He was taken to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter by his owner at 11 months because they were moving to an apartment complex that didn’t allow Pit Bulls. He is such a people oriented companion that he became very depressed at the shelter. So the volunteers took turns taking him home with them. I inquired about meeting him and they told me it was first come first served, and there were 2 people in front of me who were waiting to meet him. So I said ‘Well I want to meet him right away! Why do I have to wait for 2 other people to meet him first if its first come first served?!’ I guess I was persistent enough that they let me meet him the next day.
I immediately fell in love, but of course I still had the unpredictable task of introducing him and Mina. The next day I took Mina to meet Clyde at the shelter and they did just fine together. So we brought him home. It has been a match made from heaven. Clyde is such a happy dog. He loves life! He and Mina have become the best of friends.
He has won our hearts and we are now one big happy family!”

Hello! I was one of the volunteers who took a special interest in Clyde. He didn’t like shelter life at all but those of us who worked with him saw the spark in his eyes. To see how happy he is now just made my whole day…no wait, my whole year! Thank you for choosing him and now for loving him and thank you for posting all these pictures of him.

Thank you so much for volunteering and caring for these special dogs! Without volunteers like you, we wouldn’t have all the happily ever afters!
