I wish everyone could get professional photos with their dog. One of my regrets is not having more pictures of my younger self with my pets, but I was usually the one holding the camera. I’m delighted to share this dog and human photography session from Kelly Sea Images. Daytona is a gorgeous Beagle-Pointer mix who adores her favorite person, Kim. I am a big fan of her floral crown. 
From Kelly: “Kim set up a gorgeous, girly ‘mommy and puppy’ session with her 10-year-old pup Daytona. I loved their matching flower crowns, Kim’s gorgeous gown, and of course – their pink parasol!”
From Kim: “Daytona is a Beagle-Pointer Mix. She just turned ten years old in August 2018, and we did a mommy puppy photoshoot to celebrate. Doesn’t everyone do this for such a special occasion? Daytona was born in South Carolina in August 2008. I adopted her in October 2008 through New Beginnings Pet Rescue. It was the best decision ever. Daytona is my first dog. I never thought about getting a dog until I met her. I fell in love with her eyes immediately.
She had a look of unconditional love. Daytona was an Angel sent to me. She knew I needed her, and she found me. I am beyond lucky and honored to have the privilege to care for her. The first day I met her, out of the eight siblings she had, Daytona came up to me and started biting my shoelaces. I knew she was the one for me and me for her. Her birth name was Chomper, and she lived up to that by chomping on everything, but we changed her name to Daytona right away.
Daytona is named after Daytona Beach, Florida, which is a special place for my husband and known for the Daytona International Speedway. When I first met Daytona, the sunlight shined down on her white fur, and her presence lit up the room. She made our house a home. She also ran at lightning speed. The name Daytona was an automatic choice. Daytona loves the beach and the park. She loves photoshoots and smiles for the photographer! I also have 4,325 pictures of her on my cell phone and still take pictures of her daily.
Daytona makes me feel like the most special person on Earth. Those puppy dog eyes speak true puppy love. I think about her like she is human. I talk to her, and she understands. She is the reason I am late to work every day for the last ten years. I still have trouble leaving her each morning. Daytona is so perceptive to things that impact our family and well-being. She is very social and offers comfort during ups and downs.
Daytona actively shows her love to us. Her affection is healing. When my mother passed away six years ago and my blind father came to live with us, Daytona behaved differently around my grieving father and understood his vision issues. Daytona and dad were best friends for almost five years until my father passed away two years ago. Daytona was such a comfort to me and me to her as we both lost a best friend. Daytona’s capacity to love and feel makes her so extraordinarily special. Daytona was our flower dog in our wedding. Our last name is Manz, and she is definitely Manz Best Friend! Daytona loves to wear accessories, Halloween costumes and dress up for each of the holidays! Daytona rescued me!”

This is such an incredibly beautiful post. My heart is aching. I have so much love for animals – especially cats and dogs – and will never stop working to having a place of my own so I can have a few pets and know that they will be comfortable living with me. At the moment my partner and I are in a tiny unit and, although our hearts ache whenever we see photos like us, we know it’s best for the animals that we wait until there’s more room for them, and that they can actually go outside. I cannot wait to have a furry best friend of my own!

What an adorable pop! We have a Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever mix, and she has been the sweetest and best dog that we could have ever asked for.

I am a mom to furry children..haha..and those who don’t take the time to love a pet and allow a pet to love them is missing out. Such devotion and love you can’t describe. These photos are super fun and I agree, it’s so important to have professional photos taken with your pets.
