For many dogs and their humans going to the vet’s office is stressful. Thankfully there are vets like Dr. Morgan Peterman who treat dogs and cats in their own homes. She offers routine wellness care, disease management and end of life care for pets in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. Elizabeth Henson photographed Morgan at work and with Morgan’s dog, Josie.
From Elizabeth: “I love working with other women who are passionate business owners! Morgan has just opened her small business as an in-home vet care for all cats and dogs, Full Circle Animal Health.
I loved working with Morgan and her playful girl Josie. Being a dog lover myself I was super excited to have her in town and she was even able to check out our dogs while she was here! I’m excited to watch her business grow and I’m honored to have taken some pictures for her website and promotional materials. She was so easy to photograph and has such a fun loving spirit! Josie of course rocked it too.”
From Morgan: “Josie is an 8 year old Catahoula. I adopted her when she was 5 months from Tippecanoe County Humane Society in Lafayette, Indiana.
Through Full Circle Animal Health I provide in-home veterinary care to dogs and cats in the greater Ann Arbor Michigan area. We focus on end of life care and routine care for animals that become sick, anxious or aggressive at the vet or in the car.”
You can see more of Josie and Morgan on Elizabeth’s blog. I first heard of in home veterinary care a few years ago when my older sister had one come to her home to treat her dogs and cats. The vet came into my sister’s home and cared for her dogs so they didn’t endure the stress of going to a vet’s office. When old age and illness had taken too much from them, their vet assisted them in the comfort of their own home, which made the process just a tiny bit easier for them as well as my sister.
I’m curious to know if you have a vet who makes house calls. If not, do you wish you did?

Josie is so cute. I am fortunate to have a vet who also provides home care also. My lab Brandy used to shake from the moment we left home to go to the vet office. Thanks to Dr. Marisa’s Gerth, she gets her treatments at home. Vets who come to the patients home are fantastic

I would love it if our vet made house calls! Soda hates going to the vet, and having someone come to her, especially in her older years, would be amazing.
