Lots of young girls are obsessed with horses, and I was one of them. I spent some time as a teenager taking riding lessons, and I desperately wanted a horse of my own. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an option for me, and I stopped riding when we moved to a new state, I still love horses. My riding days are long gone, but I it makes my spirit soar to see beautiful horses. When I saw this dreamy photo from Tracey Buyce Photography, I could barely wait to share it with you.
Here is what Tracey shared about the photo on her equine Instagram account: “Pele the dog chose his own spot, which was pretty perfect!”
Tracey is currently hosting a Best Horse Photo contest on Instagram, so if you are a horse photographer, be sure to enter!

What a beautiful horse and photograph! I wanted a horse when I was a girl, too. I wanted all the animals I ever met, though. 🙂
Beth says
I wanted all the animals too!

That is a beautiful photo. We rented horses for one summer and we enjoyed them.

I got back into riding in my late thirties (about 10 years ago) and still take lessons once a week. My friend had one riding student who was 89. I can’t imagine giving up horses!
Beth says
That’s great!

Loved that video. Fascinating watching from a dog’s point of view.
I too was obsessed with horses as a young girl and used to go riding a few times a week.

I was obsessed with horses also but didn’t get one of my own until late in life. Became a riding instructor, equine therapy facilitator and eventually had several horses for my programs. I am no retired but still have one horse and ride as often as possible. Your riding days are never gone! Beautiful photo, by the way!

I, too, was all about horses! My daddy was a cowboy in Montana and when I was 11 we moved to the country and we started our lives with some amazing horses, including several rescues. I went on to become a trainer, shower, and instructor. This photo is gorgeous and brings me back. Thank you!!
Beth says
What a great time that must have been!

My dream as a little girl was to grow up and own a horse farm. I ended up working for the government! Beautiful photo!

My life sounds very similar. I’ve always loved horses but have never been in a situation where I could have one. Gorgeous photo!

This is a really stunning photo, I love the misty quality of it. I was obsessed with horses too as a young girl! I’m crazy about the video you included here, I love when people strap a camera to a dog’s back, you can just feel the joy the dog’s experiencing!
