Happy Siblings Day! I’m featuring litter mates (and their humans) today from an engagement session with Eileen K Photography. Zoe and Leo are adorable pit bulls who made me smile!
From Eileen: “Bri and Max chose the setting of the Milwaukee Ave Historic District in Minneapolis, MN for their engagement shoot as it was one if the first dates they went on. For their shoot, they also brought along their adorable 9-month-old puppies, Zoe and Leo!”
They both weigh 70 lbs and are the same height. We have worked really hard with them on training them to break the bad rap of a ‘pit bull’ … when we walk them people on the sidewalk will cross the street to avoid them because of the ‘pit bull’ stereotype. The truth is that these are two of the nicest, loving puppies you will ever meet. We rescued them from my friend in the neighborhood. My friend got a pitbull puppy and went to take her to the vet to get fixed, but found out that her puppy was already pregnant- surprise!”
Reading Bri’s comments reminded me that many people are still afraid of pit bulls. This series over at the Sarcastic Dog: Changing the Conversation About Pit bulls is perfect for both pit bull fans as well as people who are unsure about pit bulls.

As usual you have such amazing pictures on your site. What a beautiful family, and I’m especially thrilled to read how they’re trying to change the nasty rap “pitbulls” have. I believe it’s the media that created the witch hunt against these beautiful dogs, and sadly whipped the public into a frenzy. Well done to them!
