Stella the Chocolate Lab mix and Zoey the Lab/Kelpie mix seem to take modeling very seriously! I don’t see how anyone could turn out their “Save The Date” request photographed by Keane Eye Photography.
From Erica: “Kalin and Christine met while they were in college at UCONN! It was only fitting that we traveled back to where it all started, with their furry children in tow.
It rained the whole session, but the dogs were great, all it took were some yummy treats and a dog helper for the session!”
From Kalin and Christine: “Stella is a Retriever Mix, three years old, rescued from Companion Pet Rescue. She will play fetch until she can’t stand up straight, loves tennis balls and tug of war. Although Stella doesn’t love affection, she will randomly attack you with kisses all over your head. Her favorite place is the beach; she loves playing fetch in the ocean and swimming to get her ball! Her best trick is the secret handshake we taught her (paw, another paw, high five, kiss). She’s the most loyal pup!
Zoey is a Lab/Kelpie Mix (we think!), two years old, rescued from Pack Leaders Dog Rescue. Her favorite toys are anything squeaky, she loves to destroy things and loves to snuggle on a soft blanket. Also enjoys the beach but is more of a lay in the sun kind of girl. Her best trick is giving you her paw, anytime she wants something from you (that last piece of pizza crust, a treat, anything!) she reflexively gives you paw. She’s so sweet with her expressive little eyebrows! Thanks to her herding instincts, she is always trying to herd her sister when they play.
They’re the sweetest together, they love rolling around puppy wrestling together and are totally bonded together!
Stella and Zoey will be the ‘flower pups’ in our wedding.”

I’d never heard of “save the date” announcements until a few years ago, but it definitely makes sense. I love the idea of including the fur children in the announcement.

I love this so much! We didn’t get our cats until after we got married but I know they would have had to be part of things if they were around. I’ve thought about doing some sort of family photo shoot with them!
