If you have never been to Cape Cod, you might be planning a trip there after seeing these photos. Amanda Macdonald photographed Rigley, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and his favorite people both on the beach and in the woods, for some amazing engagement pictures. For me, the ideal beach is practically empty, with at least one handsome dog.
From Amanda: “For their autumn engagement session, Renee and Jimmy introduced me to my new favorite secret spot: the Knob in Falmouth, MA.
Okay, so it’s not super secret, but this Cape Cod location felt it like it. On this overcast November day as we practically had the place to ourselves. The Knob is a mix of woods and beach, which fit Renee and Jimmy’s rustic wedding theme perfectly. The views were breath-taking, and we couldn’t go far without another awesome photo moment.
We even found a wood swing in the forest that had a little heart carved into it – swoon!
I think what made this spot so magical though was the people I was exploring it with. Renee and Jimmy enjoy snowmobiling, hiking, kayaking, and basically any active outdoor activity.
They wanted to remember how outdoorsy they are right now, and their Swiss Mountain dog pup. Rigley joined us for a bit of walking the trails and frolicking on the beach. This big boy was so sweet and happy to be a part of photos. He gave lots of puppy kisses and was totally smiling for the camera! This Cape Cod engagement session captured this amazing couple’s personalities as they snuggled and played at one of their favorite places. I can’t wait for their rustic wedding this year. From Renee and Jimmy: “Rigley is a two-year-old Greater Swiss mountain dog. He is our life so of course, we had to include him in our engagement shoot. We are obsessed with the big goofball and bring him almost everywhere. He loves taking adventures and being anywhere off leash with his humans.
Rigley loves walks, the golf course, his best friend Ace and blowing bubbles out of his nose in the ocean!
He has taught us unconditional love and has brought many laughs to our life!”
