I have a deep affinity for all things nautical, so I was all over this awesome engagement session from Salt and Pine Photography. In addition to the nautical details, the couple brought their handsome chocolate Lab,elevating the session to perfect in my eyes!
From Darryl Ann and Joe: “Brenna and Cory knew their engagement session wouldn’t be complete without their adorable chocolate Lab, Dutch.
He came along to their session at the Fisherman’s Terminal and Discovery Park in Seattle this fall.
Dutch was a goober, and hammed it up for the camera the whole session. He especially enjoyed our walk through the woods at Discovery Park, where he found plenty of sticks to drop at our feet! You can see just how much Brenna and Cory love each other, and how much a part of their lives Dutch is.”
From Brenna: “As you can tell in the pictures, Dutch LOVES being outside and has a love for all things that are “fetch-able” – be they sticks or tennis balls. He never tires of fetch and there is no better “Dutch face” than when you pick up a toy or stick to throw – ears are perked, eyes big and wide, and his big behind/ tail wriggles in sheer excitement to the point where he does a little prance.
There is big personality and heart in our big guy and we love him for it!
Brenna and Corey added a new dog to their family in December, Bexley. Dutch is an awesome big brother to her. (I’m hoping both Dutch and Bexley will be in the wedding photos.)

I love all things nautical as well – and when you add a Lab to it it’s even more perfect. Look at Dutch’s happy face playing fetch; my childhood Lab will always hold such a dear place in my heart because of their amazing personalities. I’ve never yet met another dog so happy to just be around his humans.
