Technically this is an anniversary session (hello awesome tradition!), but when you see Chawko’s balancing act, you’ll understand why I categorized this as an engagement session. Thanks to Anna Smith Photography for sending in photos of this gorgeous family!
From Anna: “Chawko is not just a dog. He is a huge part of Kelly and Trey’s family. Chawko is an 8 year old Chocolate Lab who also happens to be a trained bird dog that loves to hunt. Watch out ladies, he is single.
Kelly and Trey have been married for 3 years, and I had the pleasure of photographing their destination wedding in Mexico. Since they never had engagement photos taken, we wanted to do an anniversary sessions that would have closely resembled their engagement session and they could cherish this as a family of 3!
They currently live in the beautiful Austin, Texas. The photos are done just south of downtown Austin in a very trendy area off Congress. “
From Kelly: “Chawko is 8 years old. He is actually a trained bird dog and loves to hunt. He’s a purebred chocolate Lab and his official name is ‘Chawko the Choctaw’. My husband got Chawko when he and I were just friends in college at UT. Little did I know Chawko would be my dog child years later when we married. He loves to go on runs, hunt, and search for lost tennis balls.”
