We joke that we can’t watch Wimbledon because our Puggle, Theo, will lunge into the TV trying to get the tennis balls. Forget about taking him to a real tennis court; Theo thinks that every ball is his. Fortunately, not all ball loving dogs suffer quite like Theo. Boomer, the English Bulldog, proves that some dogs understand proper tennis court etiquette. He was a big part of this Raleigh engagement session from Jessica Arden Photography.
From Jessica: “Tennis brought this couple together and so they wanted to honor that with a tennis court engagement session plus their adorable bulldog, Boomer!”
From Amanda: “Boomer is a 3 and a half-year-old Olde English bulldog with a big personality. He has a snaggletooth on which his extra large cartoon-like tongue gets caught.
He is powerful and quick when chasing a tennis ball. However, he is not an endurance athlete and tuckers out after a few sprints.
Boomer is a lover of all food and has been known to eat peaches, cereal, bananas, and hamburgers in bulk when we aren’t looking. When Boomer is not chasing a tennis ball or playing with other dogs, he enjoys relaxing and taking it easy, sleeping approximately 18-20 hours a day and snoring loudly.
Boomer is loved by all who meet him.”

Boomer’s such a cutie, and speaking of tennis I’m reminded of those awesome ball dogs they had during a Venus Williams match. I think they’ve done more than that, but that video sticks out in my mind.
And just so you know we can’t watch tennis around here either(or nature documentaries) because Laika lunges at the screen 🙂

I know some cats get into watching TV too. Mine are totally oblivious to it. Boomer is a cutie.

Beautiful photos! You know, I wonder if Penny would go after the ball on TV too…BOL

Boomer and his humans are too cute! What a great photography session. He stole the show!

Haha. Mr. N thinks balls are no fun unless another dog is chasing after them!

I love this photo session theme, what a wonderful and special way to include Boomer in their engagement pics. He is so adorable, love these pics of him! As I read so many of your posts, many of which include engagement photo sessions with pets, it makes me a tiny bit sad that we didn’t think to include the pets we had at the time in our engagement & wedding photos. What a great memory that would have created.

I considered having our dogs in our wedding, but that was a hundred years ago when nothing was dog-friendly. I wish I was more of a trend setter!

What an adorable engagement photo session!! I just love how couples are including their dogs in their photos!! I was asked to train two Boston Terriers so that they could participate in their parents’ wedding which was lots of fun for me!! You do a wonderful job!

I’d love to see the photos from the wedding!

OMG love this post. I am a tennis fanatic, especially doubles. Kilo the Pug has zero interest in tennis balls which is a bit sad but does mean he can watch with me (Milos and Nestor who are truly AMAZING sometimes play at my club). He loves food too and so cute like this Bulldog.

I love Boomer’s face – so much expression and character! I also love all your posts that feature couples including their dogs in their engagement or wedding pictures. So nice to see people who clearly love and think of their dogs as family.

Great post! I have a couple of English Bulldogs I petsit and they are a couple of characters! I could relate to your comment about the snoring….that is definitely a Bulldog trait!

I think it’s great when couples include photos of their pets.

Aw, look at that face! Boomer is a cutie, and from the look of that tongue in a couple of frames, he was chasing balls at some point =) Oh, good looking couple, too Lol. Happy engagement pics!
