I love to start the week by featuring dog photos that I think will make you smile! Jennifer from J Catherine Photography has a knack for creating fun, joyful, and hilarious photos. A first birthday is a great reason to hire a professional photographer to get some images that become more precious with time. A dog pawty doesn’t have to involve many guests, and I think having a cake all to yourself would be awesome! I am pretty sure Molly, the Vizsla, would agree!
From Jennifer: “I don’t normally do mini sessions, but this year I had a few clients that have been with me for years ask if I would do them. For mini sessions, I still do them in the studio, but I don’t do my usual thing. This time, I used two different Drop Modern backgrounds: mint green and white chevron and white sequin. Both were perfect for bringing springtime into the studio.
Molly’s mom wanted to bring her pretty girl in for the Spring Minis along with a cake for her first birthday. I had met Molly and her fur brother a few months ago and was so excited to have her in the studio again. Molly has been working hard on her manners. She was eager to please, but like most younger Vizslas, she couldn’t stop wiggling.
And she wanted to do her “sit” right next to me—a typical velcro dog. So we kept her on a lead during the session just to keep her out of my lap. Don’t worry, though. She got lots of love!”

Oh my gosh!! These photos are so adorable!! I wish I would have thought about that for my fur babies. I take pictures of them on their birthdays but have never done any professional pictures. Molly was such a great model for the photos.

Viszlas are so expressive, aren’t they? Great shots, I love the muted colors that really bring out her reddish fur.
Oh that second photo is just adorable. Who am I kidding… they are all adorable!! Molly is just beautiful. I’d like to celebrate our pets birthdays but as they are not 12, 8 & 6…. it’s a bit more low key than number 1!!
