When Mae and her husband Lam, were expecting their first baby, they had a maternity shoot with Kathy Izzy Photography. Mae’s sweet Dachshund, Lovine, joined them for some of the photos. Unfortunately, Lovine passed away a few months after this maternity session.
From Kathy: “Mae got her first dog in 2006 and named her Lovine. Lovine was a purebred dachshund. The dachshund is a short-legged, long-bodied, hound-type dog breed. Mae and her husband Lam wanted to take photos with her before the arrival of their baby. Little did they know a couple of months later, Lovine would pass away.”
From Mae to Lovine: “It was 2006 when we first met. You had brought years of happiness and gratitude and showed me my first experience of being a pet parent. You had always been very loyal, affectionate, and protective of me. You always hugged me with your eyes and never asked for anything in return. You were the source of unconditional love, who provided me with security and comfort for many years. Now we had to part ways and said the hardest goodbye as we made our last eye contact when you took your last breath.
In loving memory of my four-legged fur baby as she crossed over to the rainbow bridge to heaven.”

This is so sad but so beautiful! I love when people incorporate their dogs into special moments.

Oh this is so bittersweet! The photos are beautiful and Lovine looked so happy to be a big sister…but sadly her journey to see it happen was cut short. I’m sure she’s looking on now with her angel wings. Beautiful photos to remember the memories shared with Lovine. My thoughts go out to the family and also congratulations on the new baby.
