Happy Caturday! Michelle Mock sent me this awesome cat photography session starring her own handsome Tuxedo cat, Figaro.
From Michelle: A year ago, I came home and told my husband we needed a cat. Specifically, a tuxedo cat, who we would name Figaro. He was rather surprised by my abrupt request but happily consented, so we started looking for a tuxedo cat. We happened to come across a local rescue site and discovered that someone had found a tuxedo kitten in a drainage ditch. He was an absolute mess, malnourished, and covered in fleas. He was so sad-looking, but he was exactly what I wanted, so we signed the papers to foster him and then adopt him (we couldn’t outright adopt him because he was only 5 weeks old, so we had to foster him first).
I’ll never forget the day we got his scrawny little self. I’ll never forget him being so skittish when he arrived at our house. He cowered from everything (forks, chairs, anything). He was just so frightened. I will always remember him waddling up to me one day after he had eaten and mewing at me. I picked him up to see if he was ok and he just sat there looking at me, then curled up into my lap. Yep, this was definitely our cat who had found the right home and hearts for his little self. Fast forward one year later, and here he is.
Figaro is the most social, curious cat I’ve ever met.
He loves food, will never pass up the opportunity to cuddle up with you in a fuzzy blanket, likes to explore anything out of the ordinary. So for his photoshoot, I took a plain chair and just set it out in the backyard and let him explore it. These are some of the shots I took from Figaro’s session with the chair.

OMC – he is sooo stunning!! His nose and upper lip mustache remind me of my own Callie’s markings. And because Pinocchio was my favorite Disney movie as a kid, I love his name!
Beth says
My oldest child was obsessed with Pinocchio as a toddler, I definitely see the resemblance between the two Figaros.
Michelle Mock says
Agh. I love this little guy so much. He makes my heart just melt.

He’s adorable!

He’s absolutely gorgeous; and those eyes are so full of curiosity. He has the coolest markings ever – I’d love to have a beautiful kitty like him one day.
