Rescue dog Teddy, the Silky Terrier-Schnauzer mix, is a big part of Chris and Evita’s life, so naturally, it was important to get some wedding photos with him. Teddy looked especially dapper in his matching tuxedo and a gorgeous floral leash. Teddy isn’t a big fan of crowds, so he didn’t attend the ceremony. Happily, Stephanie Cristalli Photography got some great photos of the three of them in their wedding attire.
From Evita: “Our pup, Teddy, was part of our wedding this past August 25th, 2018! We had a friend of mine make him a doggy tuxedo, and he also got to wear the most adorable flower leash designed by our florist, Kendra from Loves Me Flowers.
Teddy was adopted back in 2013 by my husband, Chris, from Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center in Derwood, Maryland. He was six months old. Teddy turned six years old in November! He is a Silky Terrier-Miniature Schnauzer mix.
Teddy is full of life, very active, and energetic. He loves to bark especially at big dogs. When you hear his bark, you don’t think something that loud could have come from him as he’s fairly small. We take him anywhere we can – even on airplanes across the country! Even though he loves barking, he wouldn’t ever hurt a fly. He loves chasing squirrels and makes the cutest sound ever when he sees a squirrel!
Teddy loves long walks! If he ever thinks his walk is too short, he literally refuses to go inside. Teddy hates walking in the rain and will come straight back inside – leading the way! He always knows when he’s done something wrong and has such a sheepish look on his face. He’s got the largest ears, and they go down when he’s sad or sheepish. HE LOVES TO LICK. Teddy doesn’t stop licking once he gets started.
He loves to cuddle and always has to be touching you in some way when we sleep! He loves to nest and can either curl up into a ball and take up no space at all, OR he’ll spread out. We live in an apartment building that has a bowl of treats, and he always goes straight for the treat bowl after his long walk. Smartypants. He’s got a Game of Thrones name – Sir Theodore BarksALot of the Growling Hills of Snarlington.
People always comment that he looks like a mini German Shepherd – he definitely does. He’s very specific about what dogs he likes. He absolutely adores Chris! Chris can do no wrong, and Teddy hates being separated from Chris. He’ll curl up in front of the apartment door for hours when Chris leaves with a suitcase! He doesn’t eat till we to go to bed which is hilarious! We love him to pieces and are so glad we could give him a forever home!”

Oh my gosh, this is so cute! We didn’t get to have our dog in our wedding a few months ago, and I’m thinking of getting dressed up again just to get some cute pics now!

Oh my goodness what a sweetie Teddy is. Even though he doesn’t like crowds it’s beautiful he got to take part in the wedding photos. What special memories these will be for many years to come.
