Doug the Golden Retriever, spent his first birthday at a very special event: his favorite people’s wedding. It was important to the couple to include Doug from the getting ready photos to the cake topper! Thanks to Rheanna Lynn Photography for these images!
From Rheanna: “Vaili and Matt shared a romantic day surrounded by family and friends at Homestead Meadows, Appleton, Wisconsin. The morning started off with the guys and girls getting ready in one of the many renovated barns they had available at their venue. Vaili was so excited to get into her beautiful gown, and she was just glowing in it! The guys, (and Doug, the dog) were chillin in the room next door. 
We went outside for a first look before the ceremony; it was sweet to see these two best friends together on their wedding day. We captured some bridal party photos and caught some special ones with their baby, Doug. Doug is a Golden Retriever, and his name is Douglas Fir (they love puns.) This day was extra special for them; not only was it their wedding day but it was also Doug’s birthday- and he knew it! (I think he thought the whole day might have been about him.) 
They had an intimate ceremony with family and finished their vows and sealed it with a kiss just before the rain came- and boy did it come! We all ran inside for a few family pictures before heading out again to grab some bridal party pics, and then running from the rain again! But, we didn’t let that hamper the day- it just made it all that more memorable. Once the clouds cleared, Vaili and Matt had the most romantic sunset, and after pictures- I’m just gushing over these!!! They then danced the night away surrounded by family and friends!

Aren’t Goldens so awesome? The main reason I wouldn’t want one is their high predisposition to cancer. Love the breed, though.
