My older daughter recently told me about Barkbuddy, an app that helps connect adoptable dogs with people looking to add a dog to their life. October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month, and I’m thrilled to feature 5 adoptable dogs from Regional Animal Shelter in Gloversville, NY. Thanks to Barkbuddy, you can help raise money to benefit this shelter. For the next two days, every time someone downloads Barkbuddy with this link, Barkbuddy will donate $1 to Regional Animal Shelter. Special thanks to photographer Jessica Painter who photographed these awesome dogs.
UPDATE: BEAU IS ADOPTED!
Beau is about 8 months old. He was found tied to a post on the bike path in the middle of the night, left to die. He is a sweetheart that loves to be cuddled and snuggled. He is good with other dogs and children too! Beau is very sweet and happy boy! Please stop by to meet him and you will fall in love!
Buddy came into the shelter as a matted, flea infested ball of fur.
We had no idea what kind of dog he might be because of all the mats. Once we got him cleaned up we saw this beautiful boy! Buddy needs a home where he will have rules and be exercised regularly. He is sweet and friendly but very timid at first. Please stop by to meet out little buddy boy! His face will melt your heart!
Copper was found chained outside a condemned home. When he first came to us he was very thin and dehydrated. Today this good looking boy is healthy, has gained weight and is ready for a loving home.
UPDATE: COPPER IS ADOPTED!
Copper is a Beagle/Rotti mix. He thinks that he is a small Beagle and doesn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want him as their lap puppy. He has boundless love to give, and wants nothing more than to be a part of your family. Please stop and meet this guy and you will learn how a shelter dog can become your family’s best friend.
Courage is a young Rottie/Pit/Lab boy that loves to give kisses and play! He walks well on leash and seems to like other dogs. He has not yet been cat tested. He is a big boy but he doesn’t know that! He is a must meet pup!
We know that once you do you will fall in love!
Pilot is a sweet special boy looking for a special home! He is neutered, micro chipped and up to date on all his shots. Pilot spent his life being passed around from home to home and never given any real love. He needs a family that will be patient with him and work to show him how to bond with a human. He needs to be the only dog with no children, and a calm, stable household.
His family should have knowledge of the breed and large dog experience. He loves to go for walks and play. Pilot is really mellow and likes to lay on his bed and relax. He knows his commands and is very treat motivated. He recently received his Canine Good Citizen certificate! Pilot has an adoption sponsor!
I am participating in Tuesday’s Tails, a blog hop co hosted by Dogs N Pawz and Talking Dogs. Please take a minute and make a difference for these pets by sharing them.

– Learn a little bit about your own canine preferences! We gather stats and give you an idea of the breeds your most drawn to. You can even comb through your favorite dogs by breed on this Stats page.
– Check out your favorites at any time to go back to a rescue dog you’ve liked, or view all your favorites at once on a map!
– Once you sniff out the perfect new pack member, you can contact the rescue or by phone or email to set up a meet and greet, and get the tennis ball rolling on adopting your next best friend!
