Update: Rolph is adopted! Hooray!
As soon as I saw Rolph, I knew he was cover dog material! Those eyebrows and that smile won me over in a second. Rolph isn’t looking for work as a model though, he has a more important mission. He’s looking for a home of his own. Richmond dog photographer, Mary Maier, sent his photos in because he’s been at Bandit’s Adoption and Rescue of K-9s (BARK) for too long!
From Mary: “Rolph has been waiting a very long time to find his forever home. He is very easygoing, loves to snuggle, and loves to get belly rubs. Rolph gives the best hugs! Rolph has a fluffy white coat and is about 7 years old. He is eager to please, eager to learn, and loves spending time with people. He loves going on walks and splashing in the water, but what he wants most is a permanent home with a soft dog bed to curl up on. He has been waiting so patiently to find the perfect home.”
If you are interested in adopting Rolph please contact BARK: adopt@barkva.org or 804-449-BARK (2275). Let’s help make Rolph a lucky dog and find him a new home for St. Patrick’s Day! If he isn’t the right dog for you, please share him!

It’s sad when a dog sits at a shelter or rescue group too long. I hope Rolph your story helps him find a home. He has such an expressive face!
