It always makes me happy to see people using their talents to help homeless pets. Ami Reist Jachimski is the creative genius behind Little Miss Lovely. Ami recently teamed with Worcester County Humane Society to help create photographs of the shelter dogs and cats that would allow their true beauty to shine. Ami created ten different flower crowns and floral collars for the dogs and cats to wear during a photo shoot. With the help of W.C.H.S. volunteers, Ami photographed all of the dogs at the shelter and some of the cats creating gorgeous portraits in hopes that it will help to get them adopted. (The cats will be featured tomorrow.)
From Ami: “I recently volunteered at our local humane society, created flower crowns and collars for the adoptable pets and photographed the dogs and cats to encourage their adoption by loving families. The photos turned out so adorable, and the pets look outstanding wearing their floral creations. Many shelter dogs are thought to be harsh, violent, or riddled with issues, The idea behind the flower crown photo shoot was to break that stereotype and create images of these dogs in a soft, more feminine, more lovable light.
Jasmine is a beautiful princess in her floral collar by@littlemisslovely. She is about a year old and is a really sweet girl with a lot of puppy energy.
Blossom is almost seven years old and has been at the shelter for 5 of those years. Blossom is a sweetheart who really LOVES belly rubs. She also loves giving kisses and snuggling. She can only go to a home where Blossom will be the only pet and to an adopter who can show they are committed to making sure she can continue to be the good girl that she is. Blossom can sometimes be cautious of strangers, but we know the right person is out there for her!
Winnie is as sweet as can be. She is seven months old and loves to play.
Sergeant loved wearing his flowers so much that he smiled for the camera. Sergeant is about two years old and is a big, powerful boy. He has a lot of energy and will need a family who can handle a very large energetic dog.
Sassy is four years old and is a sweet, playful girl. She would do best as an only pet and with a family who understands the importance of continued training and helping her to continue to be the sweetheart she is.
Buster a handsome boy. He is two years old and is a really sweet, playful boy.
Graham is almost a year old and would love to find his forever family in time to celebrate his birthday. Graham is very sweet and is looking for an active family who will help him get his exercise. He is learning his basic commands and will need someone that will continue with his training.
Sasha is a female Pit Bull Terrier approx 8 1/2 yrs old. Sasha is a sweet girl and loves to be with her people. Sasha needs a home where she will be the only animal.
The Worcester County Humane Society located on 12330 Eagles Nest Road, Berlin, is a private, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter and operates mainly on donations. The shelter is open every day except Mondays from 11 am to 5 pm. Follow the shelter on Instagram and Facebook for available pets and upcoming events. If you are interested in one of these dogs and don’t see her or him listed on their website, I encourage you to visit or call the shelter. Sometimes the available dogs don’t show up on a website.
Some flowers are toxic to dogs and cats, so please choose non-toxic flowers and closely monitor your pets if they are wearing floral accessories.

These are AMAZING. I don’t think I could get my new puppy to sit still haha. He has a hard enough time not messing with his collar and totally chewed through his little bowtie.
