You know those little hats for kids that make them look like adorable dogs? I never saw a dog wear one successfully until I got this submission from Jes Hayes from Mad Chicken Studio. Okay, so technically he isn’t wearing a hat, but you have to admit he’s adorable! He is also up for adoption from Ruff Start Rescue.
From Ruff Start Rescue: “Cotton is a sweet, lovable, smart, energetic, playful, and very affectionate boy. He gets along with everyone he meets and wants to meet everyone. He’s a leg leaner when showing affection and is making great progress refraining from jumping up for greetings. He especially loves children and currently resides with a two year old and six year old. Though he is noticeably more gentle with little ones, he doesn’t yet know his own strength so he’d do best in a home with older kids, at this point.
He gets along wonderfully with his foster dog siblings, a 15 lb female fox terrier mix and a 55 lb male golden mix. And after observing our dogs play and interact with our cats he is curious, but no longer displays ANY aggression towards his four feline foster siblings. He has had brief, peaceful, nose to nose contact with three of them and respects the hisses of the fourth and keeps his distance. He’ll actually avoid them if walking closely past, seemingly to demonstrate his intent to do no harm.
He is very good (almost perfect) on leash, loves his walks and would definitely be happiest in a home committed to daily walks. He also loves play time in the yard wrestling with the other dogs. He likes to throw his toys in the air and plays like a puppy. He is crate trained and pretty close to being house trained. His house manners are steadily improving and impressive considering that it appears he hadn’t previously spent much, if any, time indoors. He was rescued from a kill shelter in North Carolina and will make some lucky family very happy, as he has his foster family.”
