Most of the adoptable dogs that are featured on the Daily Dog Tag are in a rescue and are guaranteed the time needed to find a forever family. However, that may not be the case for Chutney, a beautiful Siberian Husky mix. Chutney is up for adoption from Tucson Cold Wet Noses. Photographer Heather Binnie is smitten with Chutney and is hoping someone can help her.
From Tucson Cold Wet Noses: “At 60 pounds and only 3 years old, Chutney is the perfect combination of goofball and sweetheart. This beautiful gal loves chasing after balls and squeaky toys, and is great at getting her people up and moving. She loves her walks (especially if there’s a lizard or two for her to chase!) and is great in the car. Though she can be a little reserved when meeting new people, all it takes is a little bit of chicken before she’s showering the newcomers with affection and kisses. Truth be told, though, her favorite spot of all is with her head in her person’s lap, with her tongue lolling out and belly exposed for a good rub.”
Chutney is very loyal, and has a solid foundation of training behind her. At this time, though, and because of her protective instincts, she’ll do best as the only dog in a home with no young children.”
From Heather: “Tucson Cold Wet Noses rescued Chutney two year ago and she’s had 4 homes in that time. For the last 4 months, she has spent her life in a boarding kennel. It’s really not the best life for a dog and it’s getting expensive. No one knows why this dog is still homeless. She just needs a little consistent training and she would be great! I’ve had 3 different trainers tell me this.
This has turned into a deadline. We must find her a foster home or permanent home by the end of July. I don’t know what may happen but I don’t think the outcome can be good.”

I personally know Chutney to be a sweet and loving dog. She loves to play and interact with people. Her protection issues (kind of like loving one person too much!) can be dealt with by someone with dog training experience. It’s just not right that this precious life might end.
