If you’ve ever spent too much time looking for photos (or worse yet, panicked that you’ve lost photos), you will love this simple way to organize your digital files from Loving My Company, founded by my sister, Alice G Patterson.
Alice is both a photographer and educator. Over the years, she has photographed many niches, including dogs, weddings, senior portraits, as well as personal brand photography.
As you can imagine, that’s a lot of images to keep track of. Luckily, Alice figured out a system that is easy to use and only takes a few minutes to set up. Alice is sharing her approach in a free PDF workbook. Although this workbook is specifically geared to photographers, anyone who has tons of photos can benefit from it. It will save time that might otherwise be wasted looking for pictures.
Alice also has a new business model to help photographers and their clients, Loving My Company. If you’re a personal brand photographer that wants more stability in your photography business, sign up for Alice’s free PDF to get on her mailing list for information about her new business model. You are going to love it! (And so will your clients!)

About Loving My Company: With almost 30 years in the photography business, Alice has developed a group membership program that helps photographers and personal branding clients grow their businesses.
Not being able to find something (especially a photo I know I’ve taken) drives me bananas, so this system has been a real time saver and gives me peace of mind! Thanks so much for sharing!
Organizing and saving photos is a big job and so important because we all take so many pictures and the majority get ignored, lost or take up space on our devices. It is so important to have a way to enjoy all our photos.
I need all the tips when it comes to digital photo organization. Mine are all over the place.
Wow,great tips. I really need this kind of article,so informative.
I’m not so knowledgeable when it comes to stuffs like this. So thanks for the information.
I totally need this. My phone has thousands of photos and none of them are organized in any fashion!
I wish I had time to organize my dog photos better. Too many photos, too little time 🙂 The best I was able to do was to organize them by the year they were taken.
Time saver for the time you try to find photo. Great tips specially with photographers. I’ll try this so my photos will be neat.
I always end up deleting some of my treasured photo just to keep my very important one’s. This is such a great help and big time saver. Thanks for the tips!
These are really great tips! This will definitely save me a huge time and effort. Thanks for sharing.
Ugh, you got me! One of my fatal flaws is disorganized photos! I don’t know what it is – but I’ve never gotten into the habit of organizing them. And, honestly, it can feel overwhelming to come up with a system that is easy and that works. Your post is really timely as I hope to get my stuff together with photo organization this year. Your tips will help me – pray for me!
I love this idea! I can’t tell you how many times I spent hours looking for a digital photo I took and couldn’t find it.
Thank you for these tips. I can’t wait to find more about this business model!
As someone that takes all the pictures for our local marching band at our events and performances, this is something that I know that I could improve at! Right now, I’ve been using a system of labelled folders, but it’s not working as nicely as I would like it to. I still have to dig through to find things when I’m working on social media sharing. I’m going to have to check out the system from Alice and see if it will help to address that!
This is such a great idea! I have lots of photos and I don’t know how to organize them easily.
