Since life is throwing more winter weather at many of us, I thought it was a perfect time to share this snowy dog portrait session from Terri J Photography.
From Terri: “It is always fun to see how much dogs love snow! As a pet photographer based in Toronto, I often get requests for a snow session. Here is an example of what you may expect from a ‘dog in snow’ photo session. 
The golden-coloured Labrador mix is Bryson, a rescue dog that luckily found a great loving home. The photoshoot was a birthday gift for his Mom, Jenn. Again we had a lovely mild winter’s day for our session in High Park, Toronto. Bryson was the perfect dog model, so photogenic and handsome, and according to his Dad, Bryson is the love of his Mom’s life!
So the birthday gift of a pet and family photoshoot was just perfect for her. In case you are wondering about staying dry in the snow, I always bring a plastic sheet covered with a white fluffy blanket that blends in with the snow so that my clients can stay dry. So in those lovely images of Jenn on the ground with Bryson, she was kept perfectly dry!”

It is nice to look at the snow but I am glad ours is done for the season. Bryson is a great looking dog and seems ready for action in snow or any other weather.

Photographing dogs in the snow is so much fun, isn’t it? That’s how my black dogs photograph best, even with my limited skills. Most of my dog photos are in the snow.
I love dogs in snow photos and video! I took such great shots of my Husky, Icy, in our snowy backyard when we lived in New York. I cherish those images so much. I’d love a pet photographer session, it’s a great gift for any dog mom or dog dad.
