Engagement photos are some of my favorites because they show a glimpse into a special time in a couple’s lives. Noel and Kyle chose to make it a family affair and brought their Pugs, Rocko and Ollie, to their session with Savvy Leigh Photography. This scenic location is near Pullman, Washington.
From Savvy: “Noel, Kyle, and their two pugs hiked for about an hour to get to this scenic spot in the Washington mountains. It was still a bit icy outside (I ended up slipping twice), but Noel and Kyle are very adventurous and outdoorsy, so they had no issues navigating the snow, ice, and hiking trails.
Although Kyle and Noel met in seventh grade, they would have years before they would find their way to one another. After high school, Kyle left on a European trip to study abroad while Noel moved around, feeling there was something more for her in the future. This feeling led her to Utah, all around Washington, and finally back to Kyle’s hometown.
One night, she began swiping through Tinder when that cute boy from high school, Kyle, popped on the screen! After having been apart for years, Noel and Kyle matched and began to date. Even though they hadn’t known each other well in the past, when they reconnected, they instantly felt like old friends. They called each other every night after that. Despite living a few hours apart, physically far from one another, they became closer than ever.
Noel’s little pug, Rocko, has been her best friend and has stuck by her side for years. They had moved around the country together, and she relied on him through some tough times. It was very important to her that she be with someone who loved and appreciated Rocko as part of the family as much as she did. When she and Kyle finally moved in with each other, she saw that Kyle truly did love her little dog. In fact, Kyle was SO good with her pup that the two decided to get a second pug, Ollie, to join the family!”
When Noel was asked what the sweetest thing about Kyle was, she replied, “How can someone pick the sweetest thing that my fiancee has ever done!? Kyle has such a huge heart. He works hard, plays hard, and loves even harder. There is no one particular thing that stands out. He is the complete package! I would have to say that the thing that really solidified that for me, though, was how he treats me when I’m at my lowest. I struggle with my mental health regularly, and he loves even that part of me. I’m not sure how someone can choose to love someone who battles themselves all of the time; I just know that it takes someone strong and kind-hearted.”

Such beautiful engagement photos! They seem like they are meant to be together. I love how they found each other again after so many years. Of course, Kyle would love Rocko. And I just love how Kyle and Noel they expanded their family with Ollie. Such a sweet story and a lovely family.
