Ontario pet photographer, Beth Alexander, from Beth Photography spent a glorious summer day with Gordon, the 13-year-old Beagle, Sully the 11-year-old Shepherd mix, Bohdi the 2-year-old Staffy mix and their humans.
From Beth: “This amazing couple has been adopting dogs for a long time.”
From the couple: “We have owned pets for all of our entire married life (38 years) starting with cats when we first married and eventually added many different species of animals. We have owned birds and fish, reptiles, rodents, chinchillas, and, of course, dogs.
All of the dogs we have owned except for two during the past 25 years have been from rescue organizations. 
The cats we currently own are ‘foster fails’, and they have brought us so much joy. There is nothing like opening your home to an animal in need and watching them blossom.
We love that our dogs and cats are extremely friendly. They love everyone they meet, maybe they love them too much, lol. They enjoy just hanging around with us while we either do chores or relaxing with us while watching TV. I am doing agility training with our youngest dog, but he’s not very good at it. We enjoy the time together anyway!”

With all I know about puppy mills now, I wish I had adopted. We will adopt our next dog.
