Atlanta photographers, Ric and Kayla from Capture Wonder Photography were looking for the perfect dog. They finally struck gold when they met Penny, the mixed breed.
From Kayla: “We adopted Penny in December of 2019. It was almost a true act of destiny how she came about. We were in search of the perfect dog for our family and were actively partnering with the Newnan Coweta Humane Society. Lisa, the head of the humane society, contacted us. They just received another dog and had no space at Pokeys Place for her and asked if we would foster her. Still determined to find the perfect fit for our family, we gladly accepted the offer.
Almost immediately, Penny cuddled right up to Ric on the couch and slept in his arms for 30 minutes to an hour. At that very moment, we both knew she was the one, the perfect fit for our family.
We gave it two weeks, and as each day passed by, Penny exploded with her goofy and loving personality. I contacted Lisa telling her that we wanted to adopt Penny, but I wanted to surprise Ric with the paperwork. So Lisa and I spoke for three days and managed to throw a surprise adoption party for Ric and, more importantly, Penny. A party she deserved.
Between the doggie cupcakes that were passed out to all the shelter dogs, supporting people, and even a unicorn horn that Penny wore proudly, we couldn’t have done it without the Newnan Coweta Humane Society’s help. Thank you, we couldn’t be any more grateful for matching us with the perfect dog for our family. 
We are both published models and published photographers. We needed a dog who could travel with us and be a part of our photoshoots. 
Penny just wants to be included. She fits in perfectly.
Penny is finally in her Forever Home.”

Aww.. what a beautiful adaption. My two daughters (age 12 and 9) are dog fanatics. They LOVE dogs. I tell them they can definitely adopt a pet when they’re 18. Beautiful photography work.
