If you’ve ever seen a Mastiff in person, it probably made your day better! Their wrinkles, jowls, and enormous heads never fail to make me smile. Oscar, the Mastiff, had a portrait session with Kelly from K Schulz Photography. Not only is Oscar handsome, but he’s also a Therapy Dog!
From Kelly: “Oscar, the Mastiff, is the most gentle giant. He is one of many Mastiffs his parents have owned, and at only two years old, you’d never believe this sweet boy was still a puppy.
He is trained to be a therapy dog for hospitals and needed some photos for his therapy cards. 
We picked a fun park that had loads of backgrounds. There were a ton of dogs to distract Oscar, and he even got to play in some water! 
It was so fun to see the way people reacted to Oscar as he would walk by them.
I don’t think people had seen a dog of this size before. He was, for sure, the talk of the park and got everyone’s attention.
We made sure to take lots of breaks as it was a hot summer day, and we didn’t want Oscar to overheat. His mom Melinda brought plenty of water and even a cooling vest for him to wear between photos.”
I’m positive that Oscar brings a lot of joy to all the people he visits!

I love that live looking shot of him shaking coming out of the water. The sunset photo is lovely too. I’m sure his therapy patients are excited when he shows up. I like big dogs but not gonna lie the slobber grosses me out.

I’ve never seen a live mastiff before. I have seen them in movies and my thoughts were always that they were such a big and slobbery dogs. This photo session was wonderful!
