I always try to start Mondays with a smile and today’s feature could make Ebeneezer Scrooge chuckle. Last year I featured Miss Molly’s Christmas double exposure. This year Molly, her human and the photographer, Jennifer Wakefield from J Catherine Photography have taken their creativity and humor to a new level. I am thrilled to share Miss Molly as a canine elf on the shelf and the rest of her Christmas photos.
From Jennifer: “This is the second year that Jenna has had an out of the box idea for Molly’s Christmas card. Last year we did a Tacky Sweater Double Exposure . This year the goal was to turn Molly into the Elf on the shelf. She was absolutely fabulous and very tolerant. We captured just want we needed for the card and Molly’s mom and I started chatting. Well, I guess we were boring her and she decided to take a nap on the bed I had set up for Christmas PJ portraits. She modeled a little more and then went back to sleep.“
From Molly’s Mom – “Miss Molly is a spoiled rotten 6 year old beagle who was born to be a photographer’s dog. She’s more like an only child to owner and wedding photographer, Jenna of Jenna Marie Weddings. Molly has always been full of personality and will do anything for some loving and a treat or two.
When Pinterest started booming with babies wrapped up in Christmas lights Jenna thought she would try it out with Molly as her model. Molly worked the camera and the pictures came out so cute Jenna couldn’t help but send them out as Christmas cards.
Everyone got such a kick out of them that by the time the next Christmas rolled around everyone started asking will Molly be sending out cards again. With that, a tradition was born! Each year crazier ideas are thrown out and with the amazing help of Jennifer Wakefield of J Catherine Photography who is a close friend of Jenna, Molly is able to keep sending out Christmas cheer to all her friends!”

Beagles have such human looking eyes. I think it’s why they’re so irresistible.
