Happy Thanksgiving! Most of us put “family” (including pets!) at the top of the list of things we are grateful for. This lovely family session from Irish Eyes Photography just has Thanksgiving written all over it (without the pies!)
From Maureen: “Amy and John specifically chose an outdoor location because they were serious about including their dogs, Sebastian and Hooch.
Rescued from Mighty Mutts at eight weeks old, it was love at first sight for Amy with Sebastian; he has now been with her for six years. She told us, ‘someone had discarded him on the side of a road. Can you believe that? He is hands down my best friend.’ Sorry, John.
Hooch, John’s two-year-old English Mastiff, is also a rescue. He was adopted two months before John and Amy started dating. John has always known Amy to have Sebastian, so when it came time to ‘blending the families together,’ it was pretty easy. Amy told us she was genuinely surprised by Hooch’s size, ‘When John told me he had an English Mastiff I had no idea how big a Mastiff was until I met Hooch. But his size is so deceiving because he is the kindest and most docile creature you will ever meet. Most people know ‘the boys’ as our kids, and we don’t go many places without them.”

I hope they have a large place with lots of land for those big dogs! I grew up with a Collie and I loved him but I’m not sure I could handle a larger dog now.

Hooch is a big guy! Some of the facial expressions he makes are hilarious. He seems like he’s in charge 🙂
