From Christina: “Midnight otherwise known as Midi is a 16-year-old mixed breed, but mostly Pomeranian. She was rescued by her (now) mom’s grandmother back in 2008 from a shelter in Utah. Midi is currently living in Denver, Colorado, with her family. They adore her, and it’s not hard to see why. In Midi’s mom’s words: “She taught me how to nurture and grow creatures and people. She teaches me patience, how to be still, and a love that I didn’t know I had to give. It is impossible to know the scope of Midi’s influence over me, the expanse of my gratitude for her attention and care, or to know who in the world I would be without her.”
From Christina: “I feel so lucky to have photographed Midi and hope she has many more wonderful years ahead of her!”
Since this photo session, it looks like Midi’s family has adopted a third older dog. You can see more of Midi and her senior siblings by following them on Instagram.
If you’re thinking about getting a dog, I hope you’ll consider adopting a senior dog. If you know of a wonderful shelter or rescue organization, please email us at rescue(at)dailydogtag(dot)com. We’d be happy to add it to our list of rescue organizations.

Great post and she is beautiful. When looking to rescue I decided to adopt a black middle age dog because black dogs have such a hard time finding homes plus middle age I knew we could age together, and Layla is just who I needed. She has taught me so much and I am so blessed to have her as part of my life.

Such a cutie! I was just telling my mom, I always thought my Pomeranian was so cute, and I feel like she is even cuter as a senior.
