Although many people opt for outside photos sessions, in-home sessions can be amazing! Enjoy these photos of Dolly, the Shih Tzu mix, and her favorite people, Katherine and Gee, from Dennis of Charleston Photo Art. (Check out Dolly’s awesome toy collection under the nightstand!)
From Katherine: “Dolly is three to four years old. She was a rescue, so I don’t know her exact birthdate, but she joined my family on March 17, 2019 – a little good luck charm!
She’s a ‘scruffy mutt,’ likely part Shih Tzu and Yorkie.
Dolly loves to play chase. It’s so funny to watch people’s jaws drop at the dog park when she runs after labs that are 5 times her size and keep up with them! Her favorite thing is to go to dog-friendly bars and restaurants, and of course, we like bringing her! House of Brews in Mt Pleasant is her favorite. She loves to walk around to be petted by new friends!
We ‘lose’ her around the house from time to time. She’s so little and loves to cuddle into little, comfy places! We’ve found her in our suitcases, under pillows on the bed, cuddled into end tables, in bags of laundry, in a bin of shoes, on a pile of black moving blankets (she blended in!), and even sleeping behind the toilet when she was scared from fireworks.
One of the best things about having a pet is the shared joy we have when we get home after being away for a bit, or even in the morning when we all wake up and it’s time to start the day. She’s so happy and excited, and so are we.
We’ve noticed how happy Dolly makes everyone who crosses her path. When people see her sweet, scruffy smile trotting towards them, it seems to instantly bring a smile to their faces, too.”

Dolly is adorable. It made me laugh when the mom mentioned losing her around the house as she likes to hid in blankets and such. My cats used to do the same. Great memories. It’s refreshing and different to see an indoor photo shoot. Very nice!
