Dogs are family, so it makes me happy to see dog-friendly family photo sessions like this one from Charleston Photo Art. Blue, the Great Dane, is (literally) a huge part of this couple’s life. Dennis always encourages his clients to bring their dogs to their sessions.
From Dennis: ” A lot of my clients ask, ‘Can we bring our dog?’ And my answer is always – ‘Yes, please!’ I absolutely LOVE pictures with your fluffy friends! What could be more adorable?”
From Emily: “Blue is a four-year-old Great Dane. When we got him, he was ten weeks old and weighed 30 pounds. His grey coat color is actually called Blue. His nickname is Blue Bear because of how big he is.
Blue loves the outdoors, and we enjoy walking the West Ashley Greenway by our house. He loves to find big sticks to play fetch with.
The best thing about him is how goofy and cuddly he is. We don’t have to bend over to give him hugs. One of our favorite things to do is to take naps together.
Blue makes me laugh every day! He always is doing something silly, from chasing butterflies to getting stuck in some blankets. We love walking in the door and being greeted by a big tail wag.”

What a lovely family! Blue is so big, lol, but this is coming from a small dog owner. My two little dogs hog the bed when we nap together, I can’t imagine sharing the bed with a dog as big as Blue!

Blue is such a handsome guy! It sounds like he has a lot of personality too. I love that he makes his humans smile the way they do around him. Pets with a sense of humor are pawsome!

I adore Great Danes. I hate how short their lives are, though.

Charleston is such a beautiful location for photos and these are even better because the dog was included. Truffle and Brulee were born across the river from Charleston in Mt. Pleasant.
