There’s something special about Friday! This adoptable Rottie/Shepherd mix is handsome, smart, loving and ready to go to his forever home. Thanks to Mandy Whitley Photography for volunteering her time and talent to get these beautiful pictures of Friday as well as to his foster family for helping him to get ready for a new home!
From Mandy: “Friday is a super sweet male Rottie/Shepard mix who is available through SSRR, Southern States Rescued Rottweilers. He’s about two years old.
Friday was abandoned, mistreated, and underweight when his foster family found him, but now with their love and attention he’s gained 15 pounds and is happy, healthy, vetted, microchipped and ready for his new home!
He is doing great with his training, which is primarily from the foster family’s young daughter Alaina.
He loves kids, cats, and other dogs. Friday is very smart as well and just wants to cuddle and play. If interested in adopting this handsome Rottie Shepherd mix you can fill out an adoption application.”
According to the SSRR website, free transport is available, so don’t let location stop you from adopting Friday!
If you can’t adopt Friday, I hope you’ll share him and help him get home!

As I discovered after adopting Theo, adopting an adult dog is a lot easier than bringing home a puppy. And for me, it is just as, if not more rewarding than raising a dog from puppyhood.
If you’ve adopted an adult pet, I’d love to hear about it!

Now that I’ve adopted an adult dog, I don’t think I’ll ever have a puppy of my own again.

First, let me just say, thank you! I was hesitant to click on your post, because too often I’m bombarded with pictures of shelter dogs who only have “24 hours before he/she will be killed!” It’s heartbreaking and depressing and I’ve had to unfollow people on social media. You can only view so many of those posts before your heart just can’t take any more.
So thank you for sharing a dog that is well cared for and in a loving foster home. I will gladly share this post on Twitter, I hope he finds his Forever home soon.

It is only a matter of time before Friday finds his new forever home. I love how well cared for he is and all that you are doing to help him. The pictures of him are stunning… can I borrow your photographer? 🙂

WOW! I have to say this guy is stunning! I just can’t believe he could have been so mistreated. Still now he’s back on his paws, some loving home surely will be just around the next lamp post.
