2020 was a challenging and difficult year. But one of the good things of 2020 is the number of adopted pets, including Snoopy the Beagle. He joined his humans, Michelle and Rob, for a dog-friendly portrait session with Samantha Mitchell Photography.
From Samantha: “When COVID postponed their wedding, they decided to get a new puppy instead of feeling sad about their situation! So, of course, we had to update their new engagement pictures to include Snoopy!”
From Michelle: “Snoopy is a rescue dog from the Little Hills of Kentucky Animal Shelter located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
My husband and I were supposed to have our wedding and reception in May of 2020, and that unfortunately needed to be postponed due to COVID. So we decided that if we weren’t able to have a wedding, we would get a dog instead! Snoopy was the very first application I submitted, and we were on our way to Cincinnati from Indianapolis to pick him up the following weekend. He had been passed around to a few different homes for adoption before we rescued him, so he was naturally very shy and timid in the beginning.
We now couldn’t imagine our lives without him and don’t know what we did before him since we spend so much time spoiling him! He very quickly found his spot on the couch and our bed, and has more toys than he knows how to play with! We don’t quite understand how anyone could have given him back to a shelter, but are so happy they did because now he gets to be part of our family forever!
Although the fall foliage is gorgeous, I love these timeless black and white photos too!
