This dog-friendly summer engagement session feels like a much-needed breath of fresh air. Lucy stole the show in her humans’ engagement photos with Jennifer Lourie in Naperville, Illinois. And like most dog-loving couples, they would not have wanted it any other way!
From Jennifer: “Lucille Tennis Ball’s humans are some of my favorite dog people. During their engagement session, I could barely get a photo that didn’t feature Lucy. Lucy is a little heart stealer.”
From the couple: “We adopted Lucy from the Naperville Humane Society last January 26, 2019, during the week of the polar vortex that swept through Chicagoland. Lucy and her litter-mates were rescued from a kill shelter down south. She was originally named Ava after Ava Gardner. All her puppy siblings were named after old Hollywood stars (there was a Bogie, Claudette, Gardner.) Lucy’s full name is Lucille Tennis Ball. Lucy was about eight months old during this photoshoot.
My sister and I devoured I Love Lucy reruns on Nick At Nite when we were little – and I’m still a big fan! Lucy had an adorable heart-shaped, pink, speckled nose as a little puppy. She learned how to sit and fetch right away and rarely barked as a pup (still really doesn’t bark too much). Lucy does, however, like to whine and will adamantly place her paw on you to gain attention. She doesn’t always understand personal space and sometimes her zest for life gets the best of her. Lucy loves hard and reminds us that each day is so very sweet.”

I love, love your human/pet engagement photos and this session just made me smile. I think Lucy might be more excited about the engagement than her humans!

What an adorable, happy face. You captured it so well. It always makes me sad when people post photos of their dogs they figure are fantastic and yet the dogs look stressed.
